Introduction
Welcome to the African Heritage Token (AFH) project. As a member of our team, you play a crucial role in propelling AFH forward. By participating in any of the AFH project teams, you agree to adhere to the following terms and conditions. Please read these terms carefully to understand your responsibilities and the nature of your engagement with the AFH project.
1. Nature of Engagement
1.1 Volunteer Basis: All team members engage with the AFH project on a voluntary basis. No monetary compensation, salary, or other financial benefits will be provided.
1.2 AFH Tokens as Contribution: Your participation is recognized through AFH tokens, which are utility tokens intended solely for accessing products or services within the AFH ecosystem. These tokens are not intended as an investment vehicle.
2. Compliance with Regulatory Standards
2.1 Utility Token Compliance: As a utility token, AFH must comply with relevant regulatory standards to avoid classification as a security token. Team members must ensure all actions and communications reflect this compliance.
2.2 Jurisdictional Laws: Team members are responsible for complying with the laws and regulations of their respective jurisdictions. This includes, but is not limited to, tax obligations.
3. Confidentiality and Intellectual Property
3.1 Confidentiality: Team members must maintain the confidentiality of all proprietary information related to the AFH project. This includes, but is not limited to, strategic plans, technical specifications, and financial information.
3.2 Intellectual Property: Any intellectual property developed during your engagement with AFH shall be considered the property of the AFH project.
4. Roles and Responsibilities
4.1 Founding Team: Responsible for strategic direction and guidance until the project is self-sustainable.
4.2 Development Team: Tasked with creating and maintaining the smart contracts and technical infrastructure.
4.3 Community Management Team: Engages with the community, manages communication channels, and organizes events.
4.4 Marketing Team: Handles marketing strategies, content creation, and advertising campaigns.
4.5 Business Development Team: Identifies and establishes strategic partnerships.
4.6 Governance Team: Sets up structures for decentralized governance and voting.
4.7 Legal and Compliance Team: Ensures compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
4.8 Advisory Board: Provides strategic guidance and industry expertise.
5. Governance and Decision-Making
5.1 DAO Participation: Team members are encouraged to participate in the Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) to influence project decisions. Participation requires holding AFH tokens.
5.2 Voting Rights: Each AFH token represents one vote within the DAO, allowing token holders to participate in democratic decision-making processes.
6. Termination of Engagement
6.1 Voluntary Termination: Team members may choose to terminate their engagement at any time. A formal notice of termination should be submitted to the relevant team lead.
6.2 Involuntary Termination: The AFH project reserves the right to terminate the engagement of any team member who violates these terms and conditions or engages in activities detrimental to the project.
7. Limitation of Liability
7.1 No Liability: The AFH project and its founding members shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your engagement with the project.
7.2 Assumption of Risk: By participating in the AFH project, you acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with blockchain and cryptocurrency projects.
8. Amendments to Terms and Conditions
8.1 Periodic Review: These terms and conditions may be reviewed and updated periodically to reflect the evolving nature of the AFH project and regulatory environment.
